This is an original handmade linocut print, carefully crafted and signed by the artist.
The artwork is inspired by a 12th-century depiction found on the reverse side of the icon of Prophet Elijah (1180–1200). It features a leafy cross surrounded by sacred abbreviations from biblical and liturgical texts, such as:
ΙC ΧC NIKA – Jesus Christ Conquers
Φως Χριστού φαίνει πάσιν – The Light of Christ shines upon all
Crucified on the Cross – Glory to the Father
Christ grants Grace to Christians
Each print is hand-carved on linoleum, printed on 105gsm recycled paper, and further highlighted with painted details using traditional iconography pigments.
The artwork is presented in a natural pine wood frame with a beige-gold finish, set between two panes of glass (mat glass in front to reduce glare and clear glass at the back), allowing the signature and edition number to be clearly visible.
As every piece is entirely handmade, slight variations may occur, making each print unique.
The edition is limited, and each artwork is signed and numbered by the artist.
