Olive Branch Wall Sculpture – Handmade Symbol of Peace and Faith
The olive branch holds a significant place in Christian tradition. It is used in various church sacraments, and both the olive tree and its oil are considered blessed by Jesus Christ Himself—symbolizing rebirth and light. In the Hebrew Bible, Noah’s dove returned with an olive branch, bringing with it the peace of God.
The olive branch is a universal, timeless, and powerful symbol of peace, deeply rooted in the customs of ancient Greece. I was deeply moved to create this piece, inspired by both my religious beliefs and my Greek heritage.
This sculpture is made from assembled brass metals. The olives are entirely handmade by me from scratch, using recycled paper with the papier-mâché technique, and painted by hand with acrylic colors. Each olive branch is one-of-a-kind, with small variations that make every piece truly unique.
The artwork is set inside a pinewood shadow box frame, available in two finishes: gold and silver.

The back of the frame features a metal hook for easy wall hanging. Thanks to the frame’s structure (2 cm wide and 3 cm deep), it can also be displayed standing on a shelf or table.
