Unique handmade painting, inspired from the original byzantine icon Virgin Mary Guide of Hope (Παναγία Οδηγήτρια της Ελπίδας των Απελπισμένων). The original icon [where Holy Mary holds Jesus] is located at the Monastery of Stavronikita at Mount Athos.
My depiction is painted with coloured pencils on craft paper, enclosed in a wooden frame with metallic finish paint and double glass. The front glass of the frame is matte to ensure the details of the painting are conveyed correctly.
